Farmer Boys has a new president and chief operating officer. David Wetzel took the reins of the Riverside-based restaurant chain during a planned transition that was complicated by the novel coronavirus shutdown.

He wants to keep the company close to its roots. But he’s testing some new menu items, including flavored cold brew and a fried chicken sandwich. Read more.

Dining on State Street, literally

Redlands City Council has authorized its city manager to work out an arrangement with restaurants so they can set up temporary outdoor dining in the middle of State Street.

Target for starting is as early as Fourth of July weekend. Read more.

There is one less dining option near Ontario Mills. The parent company of Fuddruckers has closed all Southern California locations of the burger chain. Read more.
