The most recent addition to Oskar Blues’ European-inspired lager series, Slow Chill, is a classic Munich-style helles: Pale straw color with a slight chill haze, a rocky head of foam and a sweet mouth of cereal grains. There’s enough of a hop presence to keep the brew from tipping toward sickly sweet, and the crisp, clean lager finish makes it an ideal quaff for a toasty afternoon. And at 5% ABV, you can knock back a couple and still keep your wits about you this Father’s Day. More lager recommendations for Pop here.
