We’ve talked a lot about holiday food, from our Classic Dairy-Free Thanksgiving Menu to our ginormous collection of Dairy-Free Pie Recipes. But what about the drinks? Every year, we like to whip up a special beverage or two, and do a toast to the season. It’s created quite a collection. So I’ve gathered them together into this round up of dairy-free holiday drink recipes. They include both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
25 Dairy-Free Holiday Drink Recipes to Make the Season Special
This list includes dairy-free nogs, seasonal lattes, warm ciders, and so much more. Most of these drinks can be made with or without alcohol – it’s your choice!
Downward Facing Dairy-Free Eggnog
This is traditional, from-scratch, eggnog, made with spices, eggs, and coconut milk, instead of dairy. If you need egg-free, don’t worry, we have more nog options in the round up!
Dairy-Free Pumpkin Spice Latte (Starbucks Copycat!) (alcohol-free)
This is it. A homemade version of Starbucks’ infamous PSL, made dairy free. The recipe includes an easy pumpkin spice sauce that you can use for other recipes.
Cranberry Moscow Mule
Nothing says the holidays like ginger beer, cranberry juice … and a splash of vodka!
Tipsy Hot Apple Pie Cider
This sweet, warm beverage is spiked with fresh ginger, cinnamon, sherry, and apple brandy.
Dairy-Free Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha (alcohol-free)
This popular beverage includes an easy recipe for peppermint white chocolate syrup. Yes, it’s really dairy-free!
Classic German Glühwein
This hot wine holds a special place in my memories, from the time I spent in Austria. It’s served at ski resorts, Christmas markets, and all the cafes around town during the cold seasons.
Cranberry Fizz Cocktail
I love the look of this Santa-inspired drink. The “fizz” is from pasteurized egg white, so it’s dairy-free, but not vegan.
Spiced Cider Punch (alcohol-free option)
For a big infusion of flavor, try this delicious punch. It’s made with fresh apple cider, ginger beer, citrus, spices, and more.
Almond Joy Martini
If you’re feeling a little nutty, try this rich martini. It’s a sweet, creamy blend of coconut, amaretto, and vodka.
Dairy-Free Gingerbread Latte (Starbucks Copycat!) (alcohol-free)
Our list of dairy-free holiday drink recipes would not be complete without a gingerbread latte! Sarah created this last year, and it has been VERY well received.
Cranberry Pomegranate Celebration Cocktail
This is one of my favorite New Year’s Eve drinks, but it’s equally festive at other holiday gatherings.
Creamy Vegan Pumpkin Nog (alcohol-free option)
This is a decadent dessert nog that’s best served cold.
Swiss Mint Mocha (alcohol-free)
Ah, the simple bliss of chocolate, peppermint, and coffee. For many, this is what the holidays are about.
Eskimo Kiss (Spiced Pomegranate-Apple Cider) (alcohol-free)
Take a cranberry break, and make your next cider with pomegranate juice! You can use “fresh squeezed” or bottled.
Wild Blueberry Egg Nog (alcohol-free option)
This is a classic, dairy-free egg nog recipe (with eggs), but I have included a fully-tested egg-free and vegan option. Both are rich, creamy bliss!
Mulled Cranberry Cider (alcohol-free)
There’s no apple in this brilliant red cider. It’s made with cranberry juice, spices, orange, and honey or agave nectar for sweetness.
Coffee Shop Spanish Latte (alcohol-free)
A Spanish Latte, or Café con Leche, is Spain’s version of strong coffee with hot milk. This recipe kicks things up with a rich chocolate infusion, zesty orange, and warm cinnamon.
Vegan Pumpkin Pie Martini
I made this wonderful martini for Bom Bom, using their amazing creamy dairy-free liqueur. If you can’t find it, Bailey’s Almande might work as a substitute.
Butter Pecan Iced Coffee (alcohol-free)
You can actually enjoy this beverage hot or cold. The key is the easy, homemade, buttery pecan creamer that you’ll whip up to make it.
Sweet Potato Spice Frozen Latte (alcohol-free)
This thick, rich latte can be enjoyed with or without coffee.
Vegan Kahlua Iced Coffee
This is a bit like a White Russian, but with coffee instead of vodka, and it’s dairy free!
Christmas Cocktail
Otherwise known as a Grasshopper, this minty green drink is definitely perfect for the holiday season.
Light Vegan Pumpkin Spice Nog (alcohol-free option)
Unlike most nogs, this recipe is light, and downright healthy. But it’s still thick, rich, and flavorful.
Vegan Apple Pie a la Mode Martini
I made this incredible martini for Bom Bom, using their amazing creamy dairy-free hemp liqueur. If you can’t find it, Bailey’s Almande might work as a substitute.
Crockpot Hot Chocolate (alcohol-free)
We actually have quite a few dairy-free hot chocolate recipes, but this is a great one for gatherings or long days of snow play, since you can keep the slow cooker warm all day.
Dairy-Free Alcohol Guide
Believe it or not, milk can be found in all types of drinks, from hard alcohol to wine to beer. This guide explains what to watch out for if you decide to imbibe.
