Steaks may be in short supply at your local grocery store due to the meat shortage, but one place where that’s not the rule is at top tier steakhouses. When the coronavirus lockdown first began, those restaurants pivoted to become temporary retail butcher shops.

Critic Brad A. Johnson made it his mission to find out who has the best meat. He ordered and cooked ribeyes from five different steakhouses, and here’s what he found out.

4th Street Market’s facelift

A 3-restaurant balancing act

Royal Thai Cuisine closes 

The Royal Thai Cuisine restaurant chain has closed its final dining room in Newport Beach for good. Anne Valdespino spoke with Sam Tila, who operated the iconic restaurant for 39 years, who shared memories of its history. Read more.
