Several Champaign-Urbana restaurants are offering unique grilling and dining options for the special fathers in your life
Area restaurants are planning for a busy weekend ahead with Father’s Day coming up on June 20. Check back often as we will continue to add to this list over the next few days as restaurants and caterers finalize their menus.
Art Mart, 1705 S. Prospect Ave., Champaign: Be sure to check out Art Mart’s large selection of hot sauce, bbq rubs and sauces and other great gifts for dad as you prepare the grill for Father’s Day.
Hamilton Walker’s, 201 N. Neil St., Champaign: Check out Hamilton Walker’s smoked grilling package which includes full racks of smoked back baby ribs, smoked shrimp skewers, smoked salmon filets, beer brats, a side of Hamilton Walker’s BBQ sauce, and cooking directions. Patrons can customize their package by adding selections from the HW butcher shop. Pre order your selection here by June 17 at 2 p.m. and pick up on Saturday, June 19 from 2-9 p.m. (Tip: Costco is currently offering $100 in Hamilton Walker’s gift cards for $80.)
Piato Cafe, 804 E. Main St., Urbana: Offering your choice of bourbon BBQ boneless pork chops, Bloody Mary burger, lemon parmesan chicken breast, veggie and tofu kabobs, starch, vegetable, and dessert. Desserts include peach cobbler, jack and coke cupcakes, and peanut butter cup cheesecake. All meals come with Blue Moon Farm greens, ranch dressing, broccoli cheese soup and a cheddar potato roll. Gluten free or vegan bread can be substituted upon request. Orders must be placed by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, and must be picked up between 10 a.m. and noon on Saturday, June 29.
