Animals know what to eat. They don’t study nutrition and they don’t use apps. They seem to instinctively maintain a balanced diet with a range of foods. In their book Eat Like The Animals, David Raubenheimer and Stephen Simpson explain that we too know what to eat. Our bodies tell us. There are signals when we need protein, or salt, or sugar or fat. But we are swamped and tempted with cheap processed foods which combine tastes in ways that confuse our brains and lead to poor choices.
Eat Like The Animals by David Raubenheimer and Stephen Simpson is published by Harper Collins.
