All-around Chinese

Northern Cafe has opened its first Orange County location in Irvine. Brad says the line already stretches out the door for this restaurant that has everything from Sichuan-inspired mala noodles to Taiwanese-style beef but also classic American-style favorites like crispy orange chicken.

A different take

Alan Sanz has worked at a Michelin-starred restaurant in France, but his top priority at Sueños in Laguna Beach isn’t earning rankings. His vision is laser focused on Mexico and Latin America. Anne Valdespino has more.

The Pines reopens
