JACKSON, MI -- Knight’s Steakhouse & Grill is known for a strong cocktail and a quality steak in a relaxing atmosphere.
The restaurant has been open in the former Brandywine building since 2001. General manager Stan Howatt has been at the Jackson location the entire time and has worked for Knight’s for 37 years.

“We try to serve the highest quality product we can,” Howatt said. “Good drinks, good food with good service.”
Steaks are among the most popular on the menu, Howatt said. But the restaurant also serves quite a bit of seafood. Specials like roast turkey, pot roast and meatloaf also do well.
With barn wood and many stained glass lamps throughout the interior, the atmosphere is relaxing.
“I think it’s cozy,” Howatt said. “Comfortable.”
Ray Knight founded the Knight’s business in 1954 that also includes a restaurant and two markets in Ann Arbor. It is still owned by the Knight family today.
Knight’s Steakhouse & Grill, 2125 Horton Road in Jackson, is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Closed Sundays.
