NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Saturday morning, The Lincoln County Museum went through over eight gallons of pancake mix and fed around 200 people. The food and drinks were graciously donated by the Lincoln Highway Diner, Hershey Super Foods, Highland Dairy, and many other places. Without the help of Kiwanis for bringing their giant griddle... there would not have been any pancakes for any of the guests.

Funds received from today’s event are helping keep the museum open while also helping rotate out exhibits. The director, Jim Griffin says he thinks the community really enjoys the museum as it helps tell the history of our area to anyone who visits. And that was certainly shown today.

Many volunteers helped put on this event such as board members, museum volunteers, and even a few college students. In addition to the beautiful area and all you can eat pancakes, there also was live music. Flat Rocky Regulars volunteer regularly for many fundraisers the museum puts on and always creates a perfect atmosphere for the public.

With the great turnout they saw today, Jim Griffin graciously thanks the community, “We want to thank everybody that has come out for it...because these kinds of fundraisers are what make the museum possible.”
