Brad. A Johnson has been eating birria tacos at home for days. He’s taught himself how to make birria quesatacos and red tacos, but he’s not ready to give lessons just yet.

More coronavirus closures 

Eight more Orange County restaurants have temporarily closed, including some that shuttered after finding out that employees had tested positive for coronavirus. Read more.

Cooking up controversy 

Basilico’s Pasta e Vino in Huntington Beach attracted both fans and foes when it took an anti-mask stance on its Facebook page. Some people applauded the posts while others suggested it may be time to find a new Italian restaurant. Read more.

Brunch is back 

El Torito has nixed the serve yourself situation that was at the center of its Sunday brunch service, but guests will still be able to enjoy an all-you-can-eat menu with stations where chefs, sous-chefs and line cooks prepare individual servings. Read more.
