Boucherie’s casual spinoff Bourree is putting its large patio to good use the day before Halloween, throwing a family-oriented BOO-ree BBQ Bash on Saturday, October 30. Catch music by Mr. Ed’s Music Box from 1 to 3 p.m., a kids costume contest, pumpkin crafts, and more (tickets for kids are $10 and include one pumpkin for decorating and balloons. Bar Marilou is hosting its own special celebration on Sunday, October 31: Flashers & Slashers with Scream Queens & Serial Killers. SoFAB is honoring the birth of brunch, which was started in New Orleans by Madame Begue in the 1870’s, on the Saturday, October 30th with a festive Halloween Boheme Brunch featuring Colleen Allerton and Camille Staub of Luncheon. The three-course brunch (excluding alcohol) is priced at $60 per person and includes tax and gratuity.
