The Houston Astros begin their postseason against the Chicago White Sox today at Minute Maid Park.
Part of the appeal of a baseball game is sitting back with some unhealthy food and a beer. Here's what to look forward to at the stadium.
New food items at Minute Maid:
Stacked Nacho (pop-up kitchen in the Atrium): A fried tortilla loaded with charro beans, salsa ranchero, crema, pico de gallo, jalapeños and cilantro. The nachos are served with your choice of carne asada, pork carnitas or fajita chicken.
La Piña Dog (section 132): A grilled beef hot dog topped with smoked pineapple and candied jalapeños.
Asian BBQ Nacho (section 206): Fried wonton chips, glazed roasted pork, sweet chili aioli, teriyaki glaze, mint, cilantro, green onion and fresh lime.
Walk Off Nacho (La Michoacana cart, section 114): Doritos topped with queso blanco, pico de gallo, crema, served with your choice of fajita beef or chicken fajita.
Smoked Chicken Half (section 224): Chicken braised in Karbach's Crawford Bock beer, then smoked.
Other exciting food stands:
Battered Up (section 116): Fried foods such as chicken tenders, corn dogs and funnel cakes.
Elote and Pupusas (Atrium, section 155): This stand serves elote, the Mexican street corn, plus pupusas with chicken, pork or cheese served with curtido and salsa rojo. You can also find chicharrones and paletas.
Pluckers Wing Bar (section 156): Wings tossed in your sauce choice of ranch, bakers gold, honey mustard BBQ or buffalo, served with waffle fries.
Shake Shack (section 157): This New York-based chain offers burgers, fries, hot dogs and frozen custards.
Cookies and Creamery (section 219): For the sweet tooths, this stand serves ice cream sundaes, cookie sundaes, ice cream sandwiches and more.
Osso and Kristalla (section 226): Think Italian trattoria, but in a stadium, serving individual pizzas.
Spud House (sections 116, 131, 324): Three locations offer a baked potato loaded with chopped brisket.
HTX Mex (sections 125, 153, 215, 318): Come to one of four locations at Minute Maid for chicken, beef and pork tacos.
For the barbecue fans:

Texas Smoke (section 306): Get your chopped beef or turkey sandwiches here, as well as loaded baked potatoes with chopped barbecue and more.
Killen's BBQ (section 334): Houston barbecue stalwart Killen’s offers its brisket and more at Minute Maid.
Where to grab a beer and other drinks:
Saint Arnold's Bar (section 104): The O.G. of Houston's beer scene has its own bar with seasonal and core beers from the brewery.
Love Street Bar (section 119): Named after one of its signature brews, this bar by Karbach Brewing features some of the brewery's beers as well as cocktails, sodas, wine and snacks.
Karbach Bar (section 304): Karbach Brewing's second bar at Minute Maid has a great view of downtown Houston and draft beer from the brewery.
