ALBANY — A state worker was arrested this week after allegedly pouring cleaning solution into a co-worker’s drink.
The man, 33, of Albany was arrested on Tuesday and charged with three counts of attempted second-degree assault, a felony, and three counts of criminal tampering, State Police said. He is accused of pouring the substance into a co-worker’s drink at the state Office of General Services on "multiple occasions."
Authorities said the alleged activity was discovered when the victim noticed that their water bottle had been tampered with and the water it contained had an abnormal taste.
The victim, who did not seek medical treatment, notified their supervisor, who then reported the incident to police.
The suspect was issued an appearance ticket for Albany City Court on June 28 and released.
