National Eat What You Want Day was celebrated this week on Tuesday and the Manistee County Library is stretching it to an entire week. We’re shining a light on our cookbook collection! Peruse these titles and more for new recipes or twists on old favorites. Have fun, hone your cooking skills and give in to your cravings.

• “The Wild Game Instant Pot Cookbook” by Beverly Hudson shows you new ways to cook with venison, turkey, rabbit and more. Using an instant pot can create tender juicy meals in less time. This book also includes breakfast, appetizers and side dish recipes.

It won’t be too long before its peach season. “The Peach Truck Cookbook” by Jessica Rose, Stephen Rose shares not only dessert recipes but pizza, tamales and margaritas too using the juicy sweet fruit.

“Bake From Scratch: Artisan Recipes for A Home Baker” by Brian Hoffman offers step by step instruction for making delicious desserts using time honored traditions. You’ll find recipes for white chocolate peppermint sweet rolls, cheddar sausage, ull-apart bread and sprinkle blondies.

Chungah Rhee is a popular blogger and the author of “Damn Delicious: 100 Super Easy, Super Fast Recipes.” Page through to find new recipes for sheet pan steak and veggies, honey barbecue ranch pork chops and avocado toast.

“The Lake Michigan Cottage Cookbook” by Amelia Levin celebrates summer at a lakeside cottage including recipes for lake fish, local fruits and vegetables, and old-fashioned desserts.

Ann Arbor's famous “Zingerman’s Bakehouse: Best Loved Recipes for Baking People Happy” by Amy Emberling features homemade breads, coffee cakes and other traditional Hungarian and Jewish goodies.

“The Chilean Kitchen” by Pilar Hernandez and Eileen Smith introduces Chilean hospitality in the form of authentic recipes tweaked for easier ingredients.

Manistee County Library carries many more international cookbooks. “Pasta Revolution” by America’s Test Kitchen offers old favorites and new spins on the kitchen staple, pasta. The recipes feature six ingredients that are readily available.

Many are also lower calorie and some recipes serve just two people. “The Cozy Cookbook: More than 100 Recipes from Today’s Bestselling Mystery Authors (Lots of Authors)” combines many of the recipes from favorite cozy mystery series such as “The Tea Shop Mysteries” by Laura Childs, “Vintage Kitchen Mysteries” by Victoria Hamilton and “The Cupcake Bakery Mysteries” and “Library Lover’s Mysteries” both by Jenn McKinlay.

“Tiny Food Party: Bite-Size Recipes for Miniature Meals” by Teri Lyn Fisher, Jenny Park lets you make a meal out of appetizers. Join the fun in making miniature Pop Tarts, tiny fried tacos and baby-sized shepherd’s pies.

Why buy an appliance that only does one thing? “Will it Waffle? 53 Irresistible and Unexpected Recipes to Make in a Waffle Iron” by Daniel Shumski is a fun cookbook that explores many recipes that can be made with a waffle iron. Recipes include chicken strips, apple pie and kale chips that take half the time.

Get out your grill and get ready for summer! “Kebabs: 75 Spectacular Recipes for Grilling” by Derrick Riches and Sabrina Baksh combines fresh recipes with techniques and helpful hints for this easy dinner idea. Try new marinades and rubs to liven up dinner.

“Michael Chiarello’s Live Fire: 120 Recipes for Cooking Outdoors” by Michael Chiarello takes grilling to a new level using open flame or embers, a grill or a fire pit. Mouthwatering recipes for ribs, burgers and vegetables make this cookbook an instant hit.

Using recipes from India, China and other countries, “The Paddling Chef: A Cookbook for Canoeists, Kayakers, and Rafters” by Dian Weimer provides many new options for tasty meals during a day paddling on the water. Providing information on how much to pack and how to pack it, this guide is invaluable.

Of course, you’ll need something to drink with all that good food. “The Picnic: Recipes and Inspiration From Basket to Blanket” by Marnie Hanel, Andrea Slonecker and Jen Stevenson has recipes for Raspberry Lemonade and several variations of homebrewed Iced Tea.

"The Art of Vintage Cocktails” by Stephanie Rosenbaum is for anyone who always wanted to try that certain drink. Full of historic recipes from the 1920’s, 1930’s and 1940’s there is something for everyone.
