CLEVELAND, Ohio – Valentine’s Day is coming up, and there are as many dining and drinking options as there are moods and tastes. Here are a few throughout Greater Cleveland.

13 Valentine’s Day date ideas in Greater Cleveland
BEER + SWEETS: Platform Beer Co.
The brewery is offering Sweet Brie Co. charcuterie picnic boxes and Cleveland Sweets Valentine’s Day date-night boxes for delivery with beer orders. The picnic box includes salami, two types of cheese, fruit, nuts, chocolates, honey, honeycomb, edible flowers, wooden knife and honey dipper. The date-night box includes two cotton-candy edible glitter bombs, four chocolate-covered Oreos, two chocolate pretzel rods, one cakesicle, and one chocolate-covered rice krispy treat. Also: Galentine’s Day is back at Phunkenship. Sweets with desserts from local women-owned businesses Floressa Cafe, Daisy Cakes Cake Pops, Cleveland Cookie Dough and Art of Sucre will be paired with Phunkenship or Platform beers. Required tickets, which range from $12 to $27, can be purchased here. Desserts include cotton-candy glitter bomb, two chocolate rose cake pops, strawberry Champagne heart-shaped macaron and mini cookie dough jar.

DOUGHNUTS: Duck Donuts
The made-to-order doughnut shop is serving up a bunch of Love Assortment doughnuts, including:
• Chocolate icing with Love sprinkles: Chocolate icing topped with red, white and pink sprinkles.
• Strawberry icing with powdered sugar, a strawberry shortcake taste.
• Chocolate icing with strawberry drizzle.
• Vanilla icing with Love sprinkles and a candied rose.
They are available through Sunday, Feb. 14. Duck Donuts also is offering a Love Assortment decorating kit that comes with bare doughnuts, two icings and minimum of four toppings - including the seasonal buttercream frosting.

BEER + BARS: Miller High Life
Miller High Life is offering to cover one couple’s dive-bar tabs for life with a $20,000 High Life Gold Card.
Miller High Life also is going to rent out the winning couple’s favorite local dive bar exclusively (and safely) for them. The local bar gets the business; the couple gets to enjoy their favorite spot alone with endless peanuts, popcorn and bar food (in heart shapes, of course), Wisconsin bratwurst, dim candlelight and of course, beer.

Lockkeeper’s is offering a special dinner for two available for pick-up on Valentine’s Day weekend. The meal:
Shrimp cocktail, lobster risotto, two 8-ounce center-cut Certified Angus Beef filet mignon, asparagus, mashed potato and red-wine demi-glace, duet of chocolate-mousse hearts with berries and bottle of sparkling rose. It’s $165 per couple.

GETAWAY: The Galaxy

Packages at the adjacent Comfort Inn and Suites start at $89. Packages come with $40 gift card to use along with sweetheart chocolates.

FINE DINING: D’Agnese’s
D’Agnese’s is offering a special dine-in menu but also two packages: Chef’s choice for two ($110) and choose-your-own-adventure ($75) to pick up and finish at home with baking instructions. Order by Friday, Feb. 12. Pickup will be 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, and Sunday, Feb. 14. Chefs choice includes artisanal cheese plate, gulf-shrimp cocktail with pepper vodka cocktail sauce, mesclun green salad with tart cherries, candied walnuts, goat cheese and a sweet balsamic vinaigrette; or surf ‘n’ turf. Dessert choices include vanilla-bean cheesecake, chocolate almond cheesecake, berry and white chocolate bread pudding or cannoli. Dessert? Lava Fudge Cake with vanilla ice cream.

The dine-in option is $40 per person; the to-go for two dinner is $75 (choose one appetizer, entree and dessert). But the real treat is Chimay, a fantastic Belgian ale, to wash down the meals.

The folks at Royal Park Fine Wine are always looking for creative ideas. The wine shop is offering a cool charcuterie assortment.
