Even though 2020 was basically a dumpster fire of a year, Brad A. Johnson managed to enjoy some delicious moments.

Some of those were from before the pandemic exploded and others were things that Johnson discovered later while dining outdoors or enjoying takeout or delivery at home.

How tamales saved Christmas 

Earlier we mentioned how it’s been a hard year for restaurants. Such was the case for the Katella Grill in Orange, which was looking at closing down after sustained losses, but the restaurant decided to start selling tamales and that made a big difference. Anne Valdespino has more. Read more.

The gift of nacho fries 

Taco Bell was a bit of a Grinch this year when it downsized its menu, eliminating many fan favorites. But the Irvine-based fast food chain must be in a giving mood this holiday season as it’s bringing back nacho fries. Read more.
