A new coffee shop is open for business in Johnson.
Confident Coffee Roasters opened at 2015 Main Drive on Oct. 13, according to a social media post.
The shop is open with indoor seating from 7:30 to 5 p.m. Monday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, according to its website.
A portion of the business' proceeds is donated to help with projects at the farms where its coffee originates.
The roaster's Guatemala coffee was a finalist at the 2020 Good Food Awards. With about 2,000 entries this year, the national awards competition aims to recognize "growers, ranchers, makers and merchants stubbornly swimming upstream to create and share the kind of food we all want to eat: tasty, authentic and responsible," its website states.
