Two Eat Local programs are offering incentives to eat or spend money at local dining establishment.
In Brown County, anyone who spends at least $5 at any Brown County restaurant, shares a pictures on social media, tags Action Brown County and includes the hashtag #eatlocalwinlocalBC will be entered to win BC Bucks each week until Feb. 20.
In Cass County, those who buy $15 worth of takeout five separate times from any local business until Jan. 28 and submit their receipts will be entered to win one of five $500 prizes. A winner will be selected from Arenzville, Ashland, Beardstown/Bluff Springs, Chandlerville and Virginia.
The person who submits the most valid entries also will win a $200 cash prize.
To enter, submit your name, phone number, ZIP code and email address along with the receipts to casscountytakeoutchallenge@gmail.com or mail to Thad Walker, c/o Havana National Bank, P.O. Box 78, Virginia, IL 62691.
