UPDATED: 3:39 p.m., Monday:

Lower Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority Managing Director Vijay Rajput told LevittownNow.com the tap water is safe to drink as of 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Customers were under a boil water advisory since Friday afternoon.

The authority has been testing the water and consulting state officials as they rectified the problem.

The boil water advisory was a side effect of the remnants of Hurricane Ida from last week.

The Lower Bucks County Municipal Authority serves many residents in Bristol Township, Falls Township, Middletown Township, and all of Tullytown Borough.

Original Story:

There will be potable water available for area residents impacted by the boil water advisory on Monday.

Due to the Lower Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority issue that has impacted thousands of customers since Friday, Bucks County will have two tanker trucks dispensing drinking water for free from morning and until supplies run out.

County officials said the trucks will be at the Bristol Township Senior Center at 2501 Bath Road and at the Falls Township Senior Center at 282 Trenton Road.
